Mitsubishi electric car to be priced lower than Nissan Leaf

Mitsubishi exec sees value of commercial electric vans, trucks

According to a Wall Street Journal blog post, the president of Mitsubishi sees “big potential demand” for commercial electric vehicles, although “neither his company nor its biggest local rival Nissan Motor Co. has yet specifically targeted the sector.”

Mitsubishi revs up Euro i-MiEV EV production

Mitsubishi Motors has begun producing the European-specific version of its i-MiEV electric vehicle. Although Mitsubishi has already been selling the Japanese version of the i-MiEV for about a year, this marks the first first “full-fledged” export of the company’s compact EV.

Mitsubishi i-MiEV named “Electric Vehicle of the Year”

The Mitsubishi iMiEV was named “Electric Vehicle of the Year,” for the second year in a row, in GreenFleet Awards, in an awards ceremony in London’s Emirates Stadium. The competition’s judges also “commended” the Think’s City, Aixam’s Mega e-City, Electric Car’s Citroen evie, and Smart’s Fortwo Electric Drive EVs.

EVs electrify “green” conference

Electric vehicles were prominent among the “hot products” showcased at West Coast Green in San Francisco this week. The event’s product expo featured an assortment of early production units, prototypes, and concept models based on two-, three-, and four-wheel designs, along with several of the vehicles’ creators.
